Marilyn Sokolof, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Gainesville, Florida. She is a Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Certified Equine Specialist. She has provided equine-facilitated psychotherapy for 15 years, and is Clinical Director of HorseMpower Inc. She is past president of the Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association, is a co-instructor for the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International Equine Specialist Training Workshop, sits on the Scientific Review Committee for Horses in Education and Therapy International, and is a member of the APA Division 17 Human-Animal Interaction section.
