Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy:
Workshops for Mental Health Professionals

These workshops are an experiential and didactic presentation. They are designed for professionals pursuing EFP as a career specialty, or those interested in obtaining CEUs in an atypical environment. They also provide Equine Specialists with an overview of the mental health processes in EFP. The workshops include reviewing material from manuals as well as participation in clinically relevant equine activities. No horse experience is necessary. Appropriate (protective, closed-toe) shoes required and barn-appropriate clothing suggested.

Accreditation

Several of the workshops are approved for continuing education through Florida Psychological Association and PATH International.

Florida Psychological Association reports continuing education for Florida psychologists directly to CE Broker. If you hold additional, non-psychological licenses, you will need to self-report the continuing education to CE Broker.

Out-of-state professionals need to check with their state licensing board to determine if Florida CEUs are honored; if so, you will need to self-report to your licensing body.

Facilities are handicapped accessible.
